Recently, Sheriff Matthew Atkinson was privileged to present Texas Lutheran University student Ashleigh Bullard with the Sheriff Allen Bridges Memorial Scholarship. Sheriff Atkinson presented on behalf of the Sheriff’s Association of Texas who administers the award.

The scholarship was established by Kathy Bridges in memory of her late husband and former Sheriff of Hays County. Sheriff Bridges was a longtime law enforcement veteran.

The Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Ms. Bullard on this award and continued success in her studies.
