Recently, the entire staff of the Gonzales County Sheriff's Office received training from Gonzales EMS on "Stop the Bleed;" which is a national awareness campaign to encourage people to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. As a part of the training, individual kits were provided to the Sheriff's Office for use by the Patrol Division.
