MULTIJURISDICTIONAL TASK FORCE: 

On Friday, February 5th, 2021, members of the Gonzales County Sheriff's Office assisted Federal Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in executing a search warrant.

The search warrant was executed in the 900 block of U.S. Hwy 87, in the City of Smiley, Texas.

Caleb Nathaniel Oliver, 19, of Smiley, Texas was identified by federal agents, as a person of interest, in connection with the search warrant. The search warrant was executed without incident.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating this case for the unlawful possession of a machine gun.
