Sheriff Matthew Atkinson and the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office recently sponsored an evening of training for area citizens on the topic of “Active Shooter” incident awareness and preparedness. A one hour “Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE)” seminar was presented by Texas Ranger Conde Benoist at the J.B Wells Event Center in Gonzales.

Sheriff Atkinson would like to thank Chief Tim Crow with the Gonzales Police Department and Sergeant Brett Peters with the Texas Highway Patrol for partnering with Sheriff’s Office to help coordinate this community outreach effort.
